Fine. Now what? Nothing at usual is my guess since law and the Constitution don't seem to matter anymore.

No apology necessary. Yes, the guest was right in his prediction, but I still believe wrong in his analysis. The SCOTUS was wrong. He didn't think they would be wrong by dismissing the case.

I hope you give him another chance at a future date.

Maybe today to find out about the alternate electors being sent (if true.) I too wanted to take off from this site for a few days and was pretty distraught all day Saturday. I'm glad I came back Sunday to strike up a conversation with a few other pedes about the alternate options in front of us and where the fight now lies. I'm still thinking we'll have a tough time getting possible cucked Republican house members to do the right thing but at least there's a glimmer of hope that they do the right thing.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling all my old talk show stand-bys will just be doomer broadcasts today. Sometimes Andrew Wilkow veers away from talking about Biden's handler's pretend cabinet, but I have a feeling today might not be that day. If the alternate electors are sent, THAT'S the only story that should be discussed today. Not more doomer talk.

I always forget about that because I don't care about things like that. I generally don't like most people I meet and don't care what they think.

The comments on Twitter show just how little the Left both understands or cares about the Constitution. As if we didn't know already. But I guess they just can't help continuing to emphasize that fact.

The house votes if the election goes to Congress. If so, Romney is a non-factor.

That said, I can still see the house blowing this. "Muh, we're doing what's best for the country. We can't make deals if we don't accept the results that the AP reported since that's the official source now. Even though the Dems won't ever approach us to make a deal again and will just ram through whatever they want."

That describes a lot of cops. They deal with some of the worst people in our communities every day, so bitching should be expected. I learned a lot from my cop family members and friends about the immediate signs to look for in troublemakers and "bad eggs", so I think all those stories "bitching about the people they deal with" taught me some valuable life lessons.

Thank you. Now that's why we're all here. Not single word responses. That's for Twitter. If Nevada is the only state to send a second group of electors, that doesn't help much. You're also placing a lot of faith in Pence doing the right thing as opposed to doing the thing the deep staters all around him will be drilling into his head. "This is not a precedent you want to set because it can and will eventually be used against OUR side. Just give up and go away quietly." I guarantee that's exactly what he's hearing.

I'm not one of those "let's shoot our way out" people. I think peaceful secession is the best last resort option. A coalition of red states and red counties from blue states coming up with a pact and a plan and all leaving at once. I don't spend a lot of time wringing my hands about how China benefits either from secession or Civil War or revolution or whatever. If we do nothing and Biden's handler's worm their way in, China gets exactly what want anyway. So why not at least put up a fight? Would you rather just open your door to invite the enemy without a hint of resistance or at least make it as hard as possible for them?

Hanging the hat on the EO report is nice, but still falls into the trap of expecting corrupt individuals to do their jobs. We'll probably just find out the DoD and Treasury have been compromised as well. And all these people all excited about the "seizing assets" portion talking about media/social media is a little more than pie in the sky thinking. Not to mention most of the breakdowns of the 2018 EO sound a LOT like conspiracy theorist and "trust the plan" stuff. Photos on walls with thumbtacked strings strewn about.

That said, I hope you're right along with the "conspiracy theory" crowd about the EO (if you have a less tin-foil hat source/link, please share) or about Pence tossing electors. I don't have any faith in the remaining court cases. The SCOTUS just gave every court in the country carte blanche to toss any election-related cases, so the courts are now out.

I think the normies also have a bit of irrational fear, too. I believe some of them want to take them off but are either afraid of telling someone else to piss off or actually afraid of getting sick. I've heard people complaining about them and I always say, "Just take it off. It's not hard." I don't think they realize at this point that the mask Nazis also have bought into the narrative that those who don't wear the masks are violent troublemakers so a lot of them are afraid to confront them. I had one looking at me in such irrational fear in the supermarket he crashed his cart into a display.

The only "mask" that says "Fuck Commie Scum" is the one God gave to you.

I had a few people tell me how proud they were of their American flag masks. I told them there's nothing patriotic about wearing a mask with an American flag. It's actually the opposite. It might as well be a white flag or a Chinese flag.

Side note: Funny how you get downvoted for speaking the truth around here now. I guess the LARPers are getting butthurt that not everyone is expecting the Insurrection Act to be invoked or a massive revolution/civil war to break out.

TheThreeSeashells 6 points ago +11 / -5

Explain how that's a "logical fallacy." Maybe they take a few shots at state police or FBI who are moronic enough to stroll into their areas looking for trouble. But if anyone thinks they're going to do anything to fight the Commies outside of their woods there's absolutely nothing to suggest that will happen.

The OP was about the Proud Boys taking an offense position. The "militias" are going to be more than happy doing exactly what I described as long as nobody goes out of their way to bother them just as they've been doing all along. That's a defensive position. If they went on the offensive, they'd have tons of support. Otherwise they're just a small group of people in the woods that nobody wants to go near.

TheThreeSeashells 1 point ago +1 / -0

Now that's a compelling argument if I've ever heard one. What are the imaginary existing options you have in mind? Please don't say the "Insurrection Act." If that hasn't been invoked by now, it never will be despite this being exactly why it was created.

I've been related to and known them otherwise. If you think that cops are just sitting around while off-duty looking for "intel" to use against their neighbors and harass everyone, you have a serious misunderstanding about cops. The vast majority of them don't even want to do that while they're on-duty and have nothing but disdain for the "cops" in the blue shitholes acting like brownshirts. It's similar to the 1% of good teachers that are lumped in with the 99% Leftist indoctrinators.

2
TheThreeSeashells 2 points ago +2 / -0

I might start believing it when "dropping suggestions" becomes "a solution that has gained traction." If they do this, they can't do it alone. It has to be done exactly as I described.

2
TheThreeSeashells 2 points ago +2 / -0

I keep saying this. Fifteen people taking a stand gets fifteen people ignored or arrested. Five hundred people is a different story altogether. That's when people might actually start worrying about crowds becoming angry mobs.

TheThreeSeashells 5 points ago +6 / -1

I've been wondering why so many people can't even take the simple step of taking off the masks. Asking people to freely breathe now seems to be asking too much. I'm not holding my breath (pun intended) for massive rebellion. I expect quiet compliance.

Downvoted for pointing out a fact. Sadly this is what this place is turning into.

4
TheThreeSeashells 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sorry. It's Insurrection Act or nothing. In other words...nothing. He'll never pull the trigger despite this situation being EXACTLY why it was created. It's Insurrection Act now or the end of America.

Also, what do we really know about Barrett and Kavanaugh anyway? They don't have much of a track record. None in Barrett's case.

First, more than half the nation would secede should it come to that. Red counties in states controlled by blue shitholes would sign up to join.

Second, good luck finding anyone with the balls to do this even in red states. I've already contacted multiple state reps in a deep red state. Nobody even wants to touch the idea. I suppose they prefer the violence that will be the only alternative.
