So this whole lockdown madness has had me thinking about something. An analogy, if you will.

Remember the movie “I, Robot” ? Hear me out. Remember the main bad guy? Spoilers, it was that big AI at the robot company. What was it’s nefarious plot? It didn’t want to hurt any humans — quite the opposite in fact. It was programmed to protect humans. No... it wanted to lock down every human in their home so that the big bad scary world could never harm them again. It was “for their own good”! It recognized that security and freedom are a trade off, and it chose security. Oops. Sound familiar?
