I work in tech too and most of my colleagues know that I voted for Trump in 16. I let them know that I don’t always agree with things he says but he was and still is the only candidate that represents traditional American values. He is the only candidate that stood for America first and he is the only candidate willing to call out the swamp creatures roaming around in DC and fully comprehends what “Government for the people by the people” means.
When someone asks me how I could support a “racist” president, I always ask them “How is he racist?” They usually go into some diatribe about his comments on immigration. I then ask them where they get all this information and they usually say CNN or MSNBC etc. I then proceed to let them know that they are only seeing half of the picture. I go into how the media is allowed to spread propaganda now that the laws have changed on reporting. I tell them that if they want to know the truth they must educate themselves and not believe what the mainstream media tells them. In the end, I’m not looking to be their friend or anything but they see how I am towards others and know that I’m not racist or prejudice in any way.
