Over the course of 2020, the wife and I knocked out our years worth of bills by June and put away the money we needed to cover 2021 by October. We also said fuck it to the lockdowns and went to the beach a lot (which was pretty much always empty because everyone was afraid to leave their homes). Because I was working from home, we decided to take long breaks during the day when there was downtime and go on nice walks as well as sit in our local park. It really helped us stay sane. It was also entertaining seeing the scared folks panic when a husband and wife were wandering around outside and happy without masks on while they were sitting in their windowed jail cell they call home. Pretty good year for us.
Plus, watching the idiots spend their stimulus checks on crap (Animal Crossing, Weed, hair dye) and then panic when they had no money to their name was pretty fucking funny.

Equipment only gets you so far, it’s the training that matters is what I’m getting at. Slapping a pair of 31s on an Ops-Core helmet doesn’t make up for the fact that most of these kids spend their drill fucking off on their phones and failing PT tests. Plus, it’s different when you are now being called in to fight against your own countrymen in, what for many is their own neighborhoods.
Plus, it’s not like they would be fighting against foreign invaders in their own neighborhoods - if it came down to them fighting against us, many of them would now be put in a position where they may have to call for fire on a position that they have an emotional attachment to (such as a park they went to as a kid or a mall they spent time in as a teen), or have to make the call to end the life of a good friend or neighbor. Remember, these aren’t career soldiers who are dropped in a new town without attachments, many of them grew up on this turf.
Also not to sound like a dick, but the kids being pushed through BCT/AIT/OSUT nowadays are an absolute joke. Same with NCO schools, and this is coming from a Surge veteran. I’ve witnessed kids picking up their 5 without a deployment, with pencil-whipped APFT scores, who can’t even keep their personal lives in check. They aren’t even doing final APFT at BCT due to the Chyna virus. Hell, there are people picking up their stripes who have been in the bare minimum to hit their promotion zone and it’s not because they are exceptional soldiers. We had our own shitheads, but for many of us, it was sorted out once we hit our unit and even more so once we went down range. For many Guardsmen nowadays, their drill consists of sitting around and playing with their phones or pretending to PMCS their vehicles and their only shot at a deployment is one to Kosovo.
When we are talking about Infantry units in CA, they are decent. Nothing to write home about.

Then we run into the issue of whether or not OP can get ahold of a wireless adapter like an Alfa AWUS036ACH quickly (which they DON’T generally sell in brick and mortar stores) or a WiFi pineapple (which OP would need to grab from Hak5).

The big issue I can see is the wireless adapter in the phone.
The problem is a lot of times shippers are using SmartPost/SurePost to fulfill orders. I pay for UPS or FedEx and it’s handed off to USPS to fulfill. They had some of my medication sitting in a USPS warehouse for over 5 days and because it was at a USPS hub, I was unable (as in they wouldn’t allow me) to pick it up. They also sent me on a wild fucking goose chase to multiple different facilities where my package “was located” only for all of them to tell me it was never sent there.
