People don't understand that the reason for dividing congress into separate houses was so there would be popular representation (house of representatives) and state representation (senate).
Making them both popular elections kind of defeated the purpose of having two houses to begin with.
The best part about linkedin is mocking some middle-management wannabe-CEO who got their MBA online, refers to themselves in 3rd person in their Bio section and uses all of the latest corporate jargon that doesn't mean anything like:
- "using algorithms creating value"
- something something "centric approach"
- "boots on the ground mentality"
And then you always have to have "sustanibility", "exclusivity", and "diversity" to round things out for someone who's only job is keeping track of phone calls on a spreadsheet...
Do these people actually believe what they're saying.
Because I sure don't. I believe they're just mad that Trump's going to get 3 SCOTUS picks in his first term. If they weren't talking about "dying wishes" they'd be talking about some other thing they pulled out their but and act like that was some kind of irrefutable argument.

Yes, legitimate government enforces morality in a sense. At one level the government deals with people's actions and punishes evil and immorality.
However, government can't change people's hearts, which is the root of evil behavior.

Yep, every time an anti-2a person says we don't need modern sporting rifles because "the government has high tech planes, tanks, and helicopters" I feel that they're low-key making the poin that there should be an expansion of the 2a to include those things.
