It’s low reward because in the aftermath of a war with China all of Taiwan’s infrastructure and manufacturing would be completely destroyed

Making it economically worthless at the cost of heavy casualties, a public who will start turning against their own government and making themselves more vulnerable from a US assault

You’re thinking of Taiwan as it currently is, a decent country overall, but it would be damn near scorched earth like London in WWII after a loss to China

Many Hobby Lobby managers believe in the compassion first idea that Christians should have. This was a way for allowing the sinner a chance to be a part of society and workplace.

Freak sinner couldn’t agree, fuck em

I actually knew a lot of this before hand from other books and articles, but a few months ago “The Infographics Show” had a fairly decent summary of why China hasn’t just invaded already.

Exactly, SK, Japan, Australia and the US would come to Taiwan’s aid I’d imagine.

I was just pointing out the strengths of the Taiwanese military on its own.

Taiwan only has 4 subs but defensive subs that hide in mine fields are way more effective especially when they’re aiming for civilian ships pushed into service to be used as personnel carriers

The issue for the CCP is Taiwan’s defense strategy.

Taiwan is much smaller than China but it’s all geared for defense.

Ccp sucks at anti sub warfare and lacks many personnel carriers for amphibious assaults relying on a lot of civilian ships.

There’s tons of sea mine fields and fortified beach heads make it not an easy task to invade, including oil pipelines buried at the 13 beaches meant to be set ablaze like in Game of Thrones’ Battle of kings landing in season 2.

Taiwan also utilizes its mountains and highway system to protect its air force and have backup runways.

They also have tons of anti aircraft weapons.

Chinas other problem is their airfields and communication towers that matter the most are all in range of Taiwan’s cruise missiles.

They also have a MASSIVE reserve military force of 1.6 million people which combined with their 300K active duty forces is just under the US’ 2 million active+reservists. Incredible for such a small country.

Would China win? Absolutely

But it wouldn’t be quick, easy or cheap.

Unlike those Afghan fucks, Taiwan is willing to fight for itself and utilizes its American training well

Edit: Also the Chinese people have been led to believe a war to retake Taiwan would be relatively quick and even the CCP wouldn’t be able to keep out the rumors of tens of thousands of dead from their transport ships going down during the first attempt at landing an invasion force. Combine this with massive destruction of infrastructure on the south east coast and the morale of the mostly conscription army and civilians will dwindle.

Trump should have recognized Taiwan.

Hell so many presidents should have recognized Taiwan well before they gained even remotely this level of strength

Alex Jones is still a quack in many ways but if you had told me he was right even half the time I wouldn’t have believed it

But here we are.

I can forgive accidental. They should take all the blame but I can forgive stupidity and incompetence.

What I can’t forgive is a coverup like this. This is melicious and China should be sanctioned hard by every country on the planet for this. They should be economically destroyed so badly that they have to start worrying about a revolution

The closest crisis Trump had was that missile strike in Iran. Where when a plane of Iranian civilians died accidentally from Iran hitting it and causing both sides to ran away like when a kid breaks a neighbors window with a baseball and both sides stopped doing anything.

I won’t be shocked if there is a serious call for impeachment that has some low level democrat support.

All to get President Kamala Harris

Serious question: are these random people, are they Afghan interpreters or other people who helped us in the green zone or it’s all unknown?

You know it’s bad for Biden when not only Trump (which should have been expected) but Canada, UK and Australia’s PMs all slammed Biden

Calling it now, there will be a serious bipartisan call for Biden’s impeachment and this is how we get President Kamala Harris

Because media is a very hard industry to crack and the profits are slim at best. Then you have to assume they would try to cancel his network but not having cable or satellite providers pick it up. We saw that with OANN

In short it’s a terrible investment to have a full fledged news network. Now if they had a The Young Turks, or InfoWars type setup where they keep their focus and activity smaller to keep costs down that might work

1 way communication was definitely the way to go. It’s the most critical thing he needed to do and comments would just be flooded with checkmark type harpies anyway.

I wonder how they are going to determine the majors

Will it be arbitrary or will it have a post graduate employment % requirement.

I changed as well and covid only solidified it

But to be honest I like many Americans were already waning on it and it just became a decent excuse to stop.

I think the sports decline would have happened regardless but being woke made it faster

I actually do, it’s just stupidly easy to write off legally allowed expenses

Mileage knocks out 60% off from the beginning. I’ve sat at 14-20K despite 50-70K in revenue each year for the past 5

Meh as a gig employee it’s extremely easy to keep your taxes down. For 5 years I’ve sat just over the ACA minimum income

Mileage is a hell of a write off
