I'm unclear on that too. As he was running before the mob attacked him he was repeatedly yelling stuff like "It wasn't me, I didn't shoot him!"
That combined with the fact that other gunshots ring out in the video of him shooting, which are clearly not his, means we have to wait for the investigation to conclude.
If in fact it was not him who shot his initial attacker, he's even more justified than he already should be.
Kid with a rifle got chased down and attacked by a mob, they beat him and tried to take his rifle. One of them had a Glock in his hand. Kid defended himself with the rifle, shooting from the ground. Killed two guys who hit him, blew Glock Boy's arm wide open taking him out of the fight. Kid had the restraint to not keep shooting.
Mob dispersed and the kid walked towards the police with his hands in the air and surrendered himself.

I've known a couple of self-proclaimed(wannabe) "pick-up artists" when I was younger, and it's more fucked up than just flirting. It's all deception and manipulation, more often than not using drugs and alcohol as tools.
