I sort of agree with you but i think he framed as best as possible. You also have to realize that his campaign has internal polling that he actually trusts and depends on. Public polling came out today and showed trump down by a massive 15% in Michigan. If his internal polling shows even half of that he would rightfully be worried that he needs to do SOMETHING
