you are looking at it wrong. The campaign wasnt running biden against trump. It was "defeating trump". Biden is a non factor.

Looking at polling data from 2016 - the polls were off, but they werent off by as much as they would need to be off now. down double digits in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania... Unless something DRASTIC changes, we likely lose.
what's interesting is things never really changed in polling, even before covid if you look at the polls, they always showed Biden outperforming. He has just remained at the same level the whole time essentially.
