So, resist = get away? I'm allowed to use force to overcome resistance. Whether you think you should be arrested or not is irrelevant. That comes later. And if whatever happened was egregious, you can sue.

So take your ticket and fight it in court. Not fight the police.

And, despite being in a very liberal part of the country, we've never been asked to enforce covid rules. If we had, I imagine most guys would handle it like your first example

And, I'll give you an example from experience, with the circumstances changed to fit the story: "Ma'am, you need to wear a mask, conference and school policy" "No" "Well, then I'm gonna have to ask you to leave" "No" "I need your ID, I'm gonna file trespass charges on you, and you can fight this in the courts, seemingly the outcome you want" "No" I can shrug my shoulders better than anybody, but is that what I do here? "Tazed for not wearing a mask...shot for sleeping in a car in a drive thru...arrested and beat for jay walking..." That's where these headlines come from
