My roommates have been condescending pricks and calling me a conspiracy theorist because their headlines all come from reddit and MSM. I actually have a $1200 bet rolling with one of them. I used to be an avid drug abuser. You name it, I took it. Never touched the big boys (such as heroin/meth) but definitely did my fair share. I started smoking pot at 14, and still do now at 24. I have always had the libertarian stance that we should legalize all drugs, with the rationale being that if they're being used we may as well tax the hell out of them.
Now, amidst this pandemic, I am seeing the evil that drugs represent. By numbing and dumbing the population, the forces of evil have little opposition... Almost all of the deranged lefties I know are drug abusers that believe they have transcended to a higher plane and their "third eye has been opened". It's sad to think that I was one of them at one point. Truly. The sauce is easy to get lost in.
That being said, when I get off work tonight (small business owner rockin' a 38 hour weekend for black friday) I'm going to get critically stoned and watch King of the Hill. I still believe that marijuana should be legalized on a federal level, but I view it as a potentially slippery slope now.
