Wrong. The National Guard does the same exact training and schools as active duty. National Guard units rotate through NTC (National Training Center), which is the standard for Active Duty. The National Guard follows the same rules, regulations, training, and standards as active duty. There is almost no difference between the two, other than the national guard gets their shit done in a fraction of the amount of time active duty does. National guard brings more diverse backgrounds into different scenarios because the unit is made up of people who have different life experiences and civilian jobs. Active duty is just a bunch of kids who joined the military at 18, have their 1 military occupational specialty, and that's all they know (and not very good at it at that). I understand that in the past there was a huge difference between the two, the nasty girls earned a reputation as being a bunch of shit bags. In the last decade they have really strived to incorporate the one team one fight mentality.
