Just Google "hotels in Washington DC national Mall" as far as parking goes... Parking is done in parking decks and then you take taxi to your hotel if you can't walk to the hotel. We are taking a train into DC and walking to our hotel and leaving the car home. Most hotels close to the national Mall do not have parking on site. Also, parking decks are expensive, sometimes $12 an hour so, have a plan for parking if you drive in. One last thing, the metro train is great but due to covid, any train can be removed from it's route or rerouted for cleaning. I heard that at the last DC protest of trump supporters, they ended the metro early and the end of the line was in some bad neighborhoods, leaving Trump supporters walking back to their hotels through unfriendly neighborhoods. Just keep these things in mind if you plan to be out after dark.
I'm sure it's been said a lot, I'll say it again but, don't wait! Hotel, planes and trains are booking up fast. We booked yesterday and they were almost out of rooms at all the hotels within 1 mile of the national Mall. See all you crazy fucks there!
