Amusingly, the permanent residents of Pullman lean more conservative than the permanent residents of Moscow. We're kind of reversed in our weird little spot up here by the border, haha.

Some cops 8 miles away across the border in Pullman WA (home of WSU) were just “caught” telling people who were partying to just take it inside or out back so it was “out of sight, out of mind.” They hate enforcing this stuff so they try to find a balance of making it look like its being enforced, but not punishing people (though they did shift to giving out tickets to parties recently). The news tried to make a big deal out of it but no one in town cared at all.

Lots of the cops in Pullman hate this nonsense and want nothing to do with punishing people.

Most Mormon's outside of Utah seem to feel Romney is a snake of some sort and end up voting for Trump. I have a feeling it's more a big city thing (SLC) you're seeing than it is a reflection on the religion.
