If this was about the facts and science, we wouldn't be locked down. This changes nothing, as the goal is to take our freedoms, not to respond to a real threat. They will ignore or deny anything that gives people their freedom... which is why freedom must be secured by people rising up, not sitting and hoping for yet another study, drug, or government proclamation.
And 99% of the rank and file FBI are good people? This refrain is getting stale, and is an insidious way of excusing evil and lawlessness.
At some point, we have to accept that the institutions are corrupt, and the "good people" who work there are complicit in that corruption.

More than Trump, this is an authoritarian government being implemented via fear of a soft, scared, feminized, emotionally-led population.
They don't need to chip you, they'll just use existing phones and biometrics. They're already tracking the vast majority of Americans, this will just formalize it and make it mandatory. Check-ins will be mandatory at schools, businesses, restaurants, public events, airports, bus stations, train terminals, etc.
