Indeed. The Paris Accord offers nothing for the environment. It does however offer a lot of other things like transfer of producing power away from developed countries. This combined with global trade organizations offers a windfall for people who have tremendous wealth in the form of ownership in multinational corporations.

It should be very possible to organize a pro-Trump movement in the Republican party and replace these people with honest non-globalists. Have to waste no time finding good people and working to primary them in before it's too late in the election cycle.

It is. The more and more I reflect on this detail, the more I understand how fucked up this election has been. These counties are not bellwethers because of chance or some type of magic, but instead the residents are unique little samples of America as a whole. Their demographic make up, employment prospects, and safety concerns are what make them generally vote for whomever is best primed to win the election in that moment. Biden won only one of these counties, and it was in Delaware! What a joke.

I don't think so, but there's an important detail I think should be noted. The article says that these counties have been bellwethers for about 40 years. I think this is reasonable, and I caution people not to look back too far. This is because political leanings change too much over centuries, and it doesn't make too much sense to look for bellwethers that have existed for 100 years, or whatever. The big victory of Reagan 40 years ago started the current political paradigm, so I think that's a reasonable date to start looking at bellwethers.

Take a look at this image that was posted a week or so ago: https://media.thedonald.win/post/nv5KKEaE.jpeg

You are correct. "no winning president has ever lost" is literally false. However, the article doesn't say that, so it's important to note that this false post title was written just for clickbait. The article was pretty good, and mentions how these counties have been bellwethers for the last 40 years. They go approximately 9/10 times for the winner, and this year they overwhelmingly went for Trump.

Same. At least my mom has had a lot of yard work to keep her busy and physically active, but now with winter I'm concerned about her just being inside watching shitheads on the news.

That's how this conversation started with my parents; I told them how it was noteworthy that they were going to stop counting flu cases. My parents were like "well yeah, so few cases with all social distancing, so it makes sense to stop counting flu cases".

I was livid but didn't show them my anger since they're just clueless and paranoid about covid, plus they hate liberals and vote the right way so my efforts are better served elsewhere.

This reminds me of when Michelle 0bama got a Grammy for her book on tape or whatever

Exactly this. My parents, who happily voted Trump, are under this same delusion. They said flu and colds are down (they haven't experienced them this year), but covid is up and terrifying. They also have not experienced covid since they're retired and just hiding in place in their home...

yeah by the end they were so close that they just needed a little BS to push their guy over the top

Oh ok, I didn't watch the clip, but I think it's strange that he thinks it's strange that she didn't provide evidence to him. Maybe she doesn't want to show her hand at this crucial moment.

That 4am Biden dump has absolutely no corresponding Trump movement. Every other place (except for the end...) has near similar movements between both candidates.

For example, the first big dump at about 19:00 on 11/3 give a lot of votes for both parties, but a tad more for Trump. Every other increase or corrective decrease is mirrored between the two sides except for that huge 4am dump.

The fuck? It's totally reasonable for her to not divulge her line of thinking when she's involved in a bunch of court cases on the matter all over the country. It's fine for Tucker to ask, but totally bullshit for him to write her off when she doesn't do his show.

Not so sure that Catholics of native French origin would definitely start a riot at a protest. Antifa, anarchists, Islamists, "refugees"... that's another story.

Yeah, plus they taught that NY kid how to curse while also defeating liberal Dem mayor David Dinkins. Storybook career, you can't make this shit up.

Excellent, although I'd switch the order of the Nixon and JFK pics

Well, election day voting nation wide was expected to be like at least 60% Trump voters. That was the day he was supposed to catch up.

So if you nuke the votes cast in person on 11/3 it's essentially impossible for Trump to win unless he's already up by a huge percentage in early voting and mail-in votes.

We do. Imagine genuinely thinking that this is an ok way to run a democracy?

So many new votes in major urban areas. Not just the Rust Belt, but places like Texas, Florida, and the Southwest. He did a great job campaigning and getting new voters. That's how you win.

He later spent many millions to hurt Trump in Florida. What a failure, I bet he wishes he could do 2020 over.
