Yep sounds about right. That's exactly why i wanted my younger sibling who didn't deal with the hardships to understand that they had to respect what our folks went through. I can definitely see your dad understands this and never wants this country to be like his old one. We left for a reason right?

Yeah I'm so happy to be in a based family. Our conversation wasn't about politics to be honest. My older brother died of cancer earlier this year and my dad suffered a stroke 2 years ago. My older brother and dad never got along and my brother left back to our country when he was 18. They made up when my dad had his stroke and we grew closer as a family.

This Thanksgiving i gave a speech to my family. I'm the eldest now and i made it perfectly clear that we needed to give thanks to my parents. They gave up so much for us to have the opportunity to live in this great country. My dad's sister died of covid a week after election day since hospitals in our old country suck and the lockdowns stopped him from going to see her

My siblings were too young to remember our old country or were born here. So i told them all that since my brother is no longer here that i needed to let everyone know where we came from and had my parents confirm my story. I told them how bad it was and to give thanks that we can be part of this nation and that my parents gave everything up for us

That's why this Thanksgiving i am thankful that my immigrant family is based. I feel sorry for you bro. My cousin has mild TDS and that in itself is annoying. They sound like they are suffering from terminal TDS

Glad to hear it and I hope their state does get a second look. I would not fret too much about whether their vote counted or not in their overall state leaning as it still helps with local elections. I'm from Texas and an immigrant as well. My family voted red and even flipped our county red. In fact a lot of the rio grand valley counties with high immigrant populations flipped red. I truly believe it was us who helped keep Texas from getting stolen. And when things are investigated i hope virginia can either turn red or get closer to flipping back to red next election

You're very much welcome. I will keep doing my best to vote with the facts and I'm planning to keep our senate and house majority in 2022. Even when we win today we cant falter in mid term

Beautiful America indeed. Everytime i hear Trump come out with the Proud to be an American song it reminds me of my childhood when i first heard that song played in school. I am so grateful to be in this country

My wife told me you can't vote for the president directly though correct? I don't know the full specifics but she said you vote for the person who will vote for your candidate. It that a thing? She was as confused about the way we vote as i was about her country

I'm a first generation Mexican immigrant. Definitely will have to change my affiliation. I don't agree with the left on border security at all and am a very proud American

Glad to see other Australians who know what's up with our politics. My wife keeps talking about how it's compulsory to vote there and made me go iut and vote. My nephew and his best friend also told me that would laugh at me if i didn't go and i had 0 excuses. I am an immigrant from Mexico that has never voted. I voted my heart out this time. Sadly my wife is not a citizen so she can't vote this time

I voted and I am not registered as any party. At least i don't think i am. There is a lot of my family that voted with no party affiliation

Damn right. My family are immigrants. It pisses me and my brother off that so many people don't realize how great this nation is. We save as much as we can and my brother just bought a house. My parents own their home too and i am so grateful that they gave us the opportunity to live here. I am a proud American and refuse to use government aide. I don't need it and refuse to have someone else pay for something i can afford on my own
