Not sure the hate these things get. Got the shell for mine off an Amish group, cost about 8k built to last and sturdy as a tank, came with a deck already built on to it finished out the inside over time. Cabin style. Ceiling we did in old rustic corrugated metal out of an old building uncle tore down some time before. Hard wood floors, put in separate wall with barn style sliding door going into bathroom, fully functional kitchen area, lofts on either side, computer setup in one, bed and such in other loft. Whole house is insulated better than anything most of you have by a wide margin, like the Men's Warehouse; I Guarantee It.
Wiring was easy enough too, outlets everywhere. Total build with a compost toilet because not paying stupid money to drop a septic, was around 16k-17k Wiring was easy enough to do too, long lasting LED lights for lower energy cost and ease. Built on edge of folks land. Strong family unit, we do beef cattle out here, pay a bit of lot rent but other than that all my shit is paid for and I just bank the money I do make, and do... fuck all whatever with it, just saving right now
Had that freeze in Texas recently, even with the power out most of the time, still retained heat pretty damn well, with the types of pipes we got running under the house, they don't burst or anything, barely even froze up, had to thaw out shower and bathroom sink pipes once is all. looking at building a small greenhouse next to it or a car port on the other side after taking the deck and adding on to it around the house.
Mine isn't on wheels or anything.. just a house, difference is just smaller than most people have, and all my shit is paid for entirely, no debt, no loans, all cash all paid. Can easily flip it for three times the money I put into it, likely more.
So really, most of you can go fuck yourself, you got no clue what you're talking about, just ragging on muh leftist tiny houses lol. I could quit my job tomorrow and not have to worry about a damn thing for a long time, just hang out, do some grilling and relax in the countryside waiting for the soy infused commies to make their move should they get the balls to roll out to country areas.

Life hasn't been generally kind to me, no I'm not rolling in money. Made the best of things, the house is nice, very nice actually, just small. Built it mostly myself outside of the shell. Set myself up to where I wouldn't need that much money to live a good life. What, should I be ashamed I'm not raking in more money or live in a larger house?
