I'm sure it only scrapes the surface but "Spybot - Anti-Beacon" blocks quite a few of the Microsoft data gathering paths.

Here's a free version if you wanted to try. And there's a video to get the gist of it. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/spybot_anti_beacon_for_windows_10.html

I'll recommend Slimjet for a Chrome fork.

From their FAQ...Q: Will Slimjet have the same privacy issues as Chrome, such as sending data to Google?

Slimjet doesn't send any data to Google's servers if you don't sync your bookmarks and other data with your google account.

He never preaches the fear of God. Only the stuff that teaches you to be a do-gooder. A fear of God is as integral as a love for God. There has to be at least an occasional interjection of fire and brimstone.

Let's just honestly hope Joel comes to repent and ask forgiveness. With his following if he turns he could bring a lot with him.

I may get downvoted for this, but here goes... At one time a couple of decades ago you could not convince me that there was any racing more exciting than NASCAR Winston Cup. Then I started getting up early on Memorial Day and watching F1 at Monaco, Indy 500 and the World 600. All are different and each exciting in their own way in my opinion.

Eventually I started to keep up with F1 and more and more and I look forward to the next race now. At the same time I lost total interest in Cup racing (all together). I really think the difference is the personalities of the drivers. F1 drivers are hard to find info on in the U.S. unless you look hard online. That changed dramatically for me even more when they started doing the Twitch races during the Covid lockdowns. There were 4-5 young F1 drivers that would stream every week and would talk to each other over Discord. They talked strategies for online racing and what they might do different irl. They would cut up and razz each other too.

I have a different respect for F1 as a result. And I was hardcore NASCAR at one time going to about a dozen races a year and attended all of Daytona Speedweeks 16 yrs in a row in the 80s and 90s.

I now have F1 favorites and those I don't like and it makes all the difference in the world. I can't stress enough that knowing the drivers better makes for a different experience. I admit there is not as much passing, but there is not near the opportunities to pass in F1 either. Its as much strategic as it is power.

Look no further than Stephen Curry for a silver spoon up their ass. Yet he's down with the struggle.

He's confused. Only half of his life matters and the other half is privileged.

KEK! You are onto something here. Nice observation that hadn't crossed my mind.

Granted the last week has been a huge part of this, but its gone on for two decades for those that were fans in the glory days. Here's the most succint explanation I have ever seen of how many of the old timers like myself feel.

Yeah, I don't know who I'm more shocked by...Richard Petty or Andy Griffith (before he passed). Their personas when younger are a stark contrast of later in life.
