I got out of the Military after my last tour in Afghanistan, l flew home on the 14th of December in 09 & we were married the next year.I had missed 3 Xmas's while fighting OS & had put her & my family through hell after a close call with a IED so decided l had done enough for the military man .
I did 2 tours in Iraq & 4 in Afghanistan,me & a couple of guys l served with got head-hunted & we went back as contractors for NGO's for a couple of years ,l only stayed until l made bank,2 of them did the full 5 year bonus tour ,but l had seen enough after a couple of years.
The NGO "Disaster Industry" is worse than the "military complex" IMO & l got to see how they both really work on the ground .There is a reason the Clintons are involved in the "Disaster Industry" & like most it is not to help the people on the ground.

My wife on our 5th wedding anniversary, when l surprised her with a remote 5 day Mountain helicopter hunt,she had said she wanted to do when asked what was on her "Bucket List",where we dropped in by a mountain helicopter crew & left to live off the land, with only what we carried & could hunt/fish ,in a cabin with no power only a fireplace & a wood fired heated bath.
Wife is carrying my custom 338 EDG that out performs the 338Lapua Magnum no soy boy could handle & she had just stalked in & taken a Deer at 335yards we would live off until the chopper pick up, 4 mile trek back to the cabin . We have hunted together on every continent on earth, including "Dangerous Game ",many multiple times & as a guide for over a decade l do not personally hunt for "book'trophies any more ,she has several top end "book"trophies hanging on our Montana Ranch wall,l am prouder of than my own .
She is not only the mother of my children ,my Soul Mate but as a Veteran who fought OS ,most importantly my best friend, carer & confidant .
What was awesome was every fly boy with in 1000 miles wanted a piece of the action to say they were doing sorties on Xmas day ,so for once we had them stacked 4 deep dropping steel death on the scumbags & that night we watched for 2 1/4 hours while a AC 130 pounded the Taliban resupply trails on the other side of the Mountain range.
Ummm well there is a video of me ( Designated Marksman ) firing my M110 Sniper Rifle at the tops ,while wearing a Fluro Green Mankini ,as a Rockwell B-1 Lancer did a low pass show of force,that sent them packing for a while . I still claim it was the sight of my magnificent body & huge manhood that did it .

I do Guiding for part of the year while running our Cattle Ranch,our family has bred Labradors as working Gun Dogs since 1935,they sell for Thousands with a waiting listen years in advance (from memory currently 4 yrs) & only to preapproved & vetted buyers.
The worst thing anyone could do with a Labrador or any Gun Dog is not given rigorous & interesting/fun exercise,both for their physical well being & like humans mentally as well.My dogs would run with me a couple of miles every day usually ending in a swim/play, while l work on the Ranch, in the lead up to hunting season they spend hours training for water retrieval ,tracking of game .
During Hunting seasons they would swim for hours every day retrieving ducks,climb mountains with me while hunting/tracking game.Every dog l have ever owned has been a hard working Gun Dog all have lived a healthy long life well above the usual life spans given for the breeds,without getting arthritis or hip problems etc many couch dogs suffer from.
You dog loves you for spending quality ,physical time with it & for not being a Karen ,give it a pat from me & say hello to it from Diesel & Sako.You are a great dog owner,while Karen will always just be a Karen killing herself with hatred of everything from the inside.
Here is my Labrador Diesel the Duck Dog day dreaming of Joe Biden or a Karen walking past, so she can trip him up.Notice beautiful muscle conditioning & condition , l literally get offered thousands for her from clients amazed at her willingness/love of working non stop every season. As well as swimming to retrieve ducks ,she spends days by my side for months on end trekking mountains scenting/finding downed large game & working rough stubble fields for Quail/Pheasants etc ,if she did not have tough paw pads she would not be able to do the things she loves.We deal with numerous Veterinarians every year with running a Cattle Ranch,Horse riding & equestrian center etc none recommends dog slippers as they defeat the purpose by softening the all important pad,you are far better slowly building up the toughness of the pads,just carefully monitor you do not over do it too quickly ,no different to what we do every year wearing in your feet hands for hiking in the mountains & toughening up our hands for fencing/branding & leg muscles etc for hiking etc etc.

I am a Veteran who knows 4 guys still in Iraq & Afghanistan ,these attacks have been ongoing for weeks now & now include the probing Sniper shots to gauge response that normally precede a coordinated attack.
I do a bit of guiding, Sudan Texas has some great Quail hunting & every couple of years a decent Mule deer buck will come out of the area.From time to time there are some run down Ranches that come up cheap in prime hunting country there ,that if l had the inclination l would not hesitate to buy as a side from the hunting etc the community has a real Old School values base.
Major cities like Austin ,Dallas etc are Libtard shitholes now,if you want to live in what you are dreaming of the Texas of old myth you are at a minimum a decade late.
When l got out of the Military in 2010 the family Cattle Ranching business had planned for me to take on a position in Dallas (we had 1 Ranch & partners in another in Texas at the time ),like anyone who had spent time in Texas l could see the writing on the wall & turned it down ,my older brother took it on & now after 2 years of planning they leave a beautiful property & cushy job in Dallas in March next year & he does not care if he never goes back,they had real concerns about their kids being Libtard indoctrinated at the schools & sporting/social groups.

We are lucky in States like Montana still have a formal rural property code which are referred to as the "Code of the West", a caution adopted by a number of western counties. The Code warns newcomers wishing to locate in rural areas of the county not to assume that their rural road will be plowed immediately after every snowfall, that a farmer's field treatments may raise dust that will drift across the property line, that a rancher's cows may moo on the other side of the property-line fence all night, that if there is an emergency it may take an ambulance, fire truck or sheriff's deputy a while to respond, that rural areas may be subject to uncontrollable wildfires, and more.
Basically, the Code declares, people living in rural areas are and must be more independent, self-regulating and tolerant of local practices and customs than their city-dwelling cousins.In other words common sense still reigns in our local governments, but like every where even here the start of the rot in our cities has begun with Libtards infiltrating positions in the bureaucracy,my wife & l spoke about it a few months ago & l suppose we are just a couple of decades behind the likes of Texas & Cali etc in reality.

I grew up among & hunted all my life the Montana High Country , l always looked at it as having a better understanding of fighting in the mountains .As l could look at a area & immediately know where l would choose to set up a snipers/observation hide,ambush ,best way to take to avoid rock fall etc giving away position & also importantly how to not look for whole objects but portions of objects that do not fit with surrounds etc.
I was always tasked at our COP's with setting up the Barrett etc firing points & getting dope for the range cards for counter sniper attack & most likely access attack points of threat to our COP's etc.Also logging dope on likely prevailing crosswind patterns across mountain v alley's & shooting at extreme angles.
The downside was that a lot of times leadership did not appreciate how quickly positions could be overwhelmed /attacked by experienced people who lived their whole lives in mountain country . So that meant sleepless nights set yourself up to face the point of attack/ ambush you would take.
Murdoch's own kids believed Wendi Deng was a spy after she was caught several times accessing sensitive information ,they hired private investigators who found at the US & Australian government's thought the same & she then went on to have the affair with the scumbag former UK PM Tony Blair.
Afghanistan is a really harsh environment & yet it has some mind blowing beautiful valley country & if it was anywhere else it would have world-class Ski resorts on its peaks.
I spent time fighting in a remote COP only a couple of valley's over from where the MOAB was dropped (we did raids & patrols into the drop zone) .Some of the river valleys were absolutely stunning & you really had to make sure you would not get distracted as the place was full of the worst of the worst foreign Jihadi's & their leadership for the same reason & the closeness of the Pakistan border.
Only had shitty cameras that copped abuse they were never made for but look at the background behind the chopper it really does look like those Mars Rover shots. This was a resupply drop, we spent 9 days on those tops in support of SF's & a FAC team ,we took out some of biggest scumbags of the day back then & l got to witness the great & Deadly AC-130 Gunship in Action for 6 nights in a row from natures grand stand .
The best thing any Civilian can do to honor us is live the best life they can & contribute to this great Country .

You know because l was away/training & enjoying the outdoors living on a Ranch in prime Hunting/fishing/Adventure region so ,l have never played COD or any computer game really ,never seen anything but the first Star Wars movie ,Lord of the Rings (even though l read the books years before the movies & liked them),Harry Potter (not really my thing),Matrix & probably a few others .I will watch them one day ,just never had a chance to have the spare time to binge watch them.
It makes world class prosciutto ,personally l like Wild Hog Pancetta we make on the Ranch as it also a fantastic ingredient in Old School Ranch Soups & stews.
While Guiding l got to see some of the best camp cooks in action & learned to love proper traditional Ranch cooking,we run our own Cattle Ranch so have always home killed /Butchered our Beef etc.About 7 years ago l put in a proper stainless prep/kitchen next to our cool room to process all the Game we get ,it was one of the best things l ever did & l really love family/friend get together prepping delicious food the traditional way .

Military families do not get enough appreciation for what they go through with loved ones in combat zones ,l proposed to my wife while on a road trip we did after xmas that year, she went through a lot in my years fighting as in my first 3 weeks in Iraq l narrowly missed a IED strike the killed a close friend & wounded a couple of others.
It was pure luck l was not KIA,as a Designated Marksman it was my job to cover & scan with my optics any threats even at a distance that need to be taken out quickly ,so that means you have to position yourself so you have a good steady rest to quickly & accurately engage threats at long distance .
I had taken a kneeling position using my arm locked into my leg to steady my rifle,at the explosion a rock the size of my head went by me that close that to this day if l go through a door way etc where a sudden rush of wind/air hits you l immediately think of it.
I am lucky to do a bit of guiding around the world , that Custom 338 EDG is one of the greatest rounds l have ever used. l wish l had had one as a SDM in Afghanistan,it is one of the greatest performing cartridges l have ever seen in the field & out performs the 338 Lapua Magnum in a far lighter & more usable package .
This rifle is phenomenally accurate my favorite hand load l use for hunting shoots 338E -285gr ELD-M 's , doing 2900fps into under 3/4 MOA &they hit like sledge hammers in the field with large game like Cape Buff,Elk,Bear,Kudu etc & it bucks the wind like no other round l have used
I do a bit of Guiding here is the set up l carry for Long Range Hunting .With which l made the longest shot of my Military & Hunting life in the field ,1235 yards on a 204lb Wild Boar .
Count myself very lucky to have got out in one piece & only the usual nagging Knee & back problems from humping loads up & down them mountains & a problem with Tinnitus from shooting inside buildings .
Iraq was the worst place for Xmas for me ,l spent my time in Afghanistan largely in remote COP's in the Taliban Badlands on the border with Pakistan so while we had some hairy times ,we largely escaped any REMF clusterfucks/interference & for me being from Montana l could mentally escape for a time in the scenery . When l think of Iraq all l recall is open sewers & filth that you could not escape .
This was without a doubt my favorite Weapon System l got to use of the many l had access to over the years as a Designated Marksman, they could not pry my M110 off me.
Now a days this is my view with my favorite Long Range Hunting Rifle,l wish l had this custom rifle back then this 338 E out performs the 338 Lapua Magnum in most in field situations .

All my family have served since World War 1, ending with me in GWOT getting out after my final tour in Afghanistan in 2010. My Dad & both brothers fought in Vietnam & 1 went on to fight in Korea as well.
My Uncle the Armorer had a very interesting time serving as a lead Armorer with the Army Marksmanship Unit , he worked on what was the fledgling Sniper program in the lead up to Vietnam, developing a program with funding to increase the accuracy of just fifty-five M-14 rifles and to provide sniper-scopes ,he was fundamental in creating the mounting system & was among a small group who pushed for the Sniping System to be built around using Match Ammo (the Army REMFS did not even want to go to this extra expense).
He was also part of the team that flew in to Vietnam in early 68 & set up the 500 yard sniper training range in Dong Tam & went on missions with teams all the way up to Delta to see first hand their weapons requirements .
I served as a Designated Marksman, so we have grown to have a special bond ,our family runs a Outfitters/Guiding business & he is still renowned for accurizing the Remington 700 actions for Long Range Hunting & we have built many rifles l cherish together .
