For context I am trans. I have lived my life knowing that there is something different about me, I was very depressed for a long time because I knew I was different and to be honest I did not like that side of me. I almost killed myself at the age of 20 due to depression. I rebuilt myself but put off the trans stuff and I was still unhappy. At the age of 31 I got diagnosed with cancer in my leg, its non-lethal and have battling it for the last 3 years. During that time I have realized that I need to figure out this trans stuff go one way or another and be happy. I decided to transition and know that I made the right decision for me (knowing that it is not right for most people).

I dont think parents should be glorifying trans culture to kids, its wrong. It took me a long time to decide to transition, its a big decision and should not be taken lightly.

The live and let live culture seems to only be a one way street instead of two. I wholeheartedly agree with what you are saying. It only works if its both ways.

I 100% agree with you with trans people in sports, trans people dont belong in womens sports. We grow up differently develop differently than women. I think that trans people should be active but play somekind of intramural sport or something that you are trying to beat your own scores/times such as running/biking on a non competitive basis.

I think the dumbest thing about trans culture is that they (we) are too sensitive to everything. I know that I am different and people dont know the best way to interact with me, thats okay. Trans people getting offended too easily hurts us more than it helps.

Also bathroom issues, its a big issue. I dont feel comfortable going into a community mens or womens bathroom. I hate it, I feel like everyone is staring at me and I know that I dont belong in either one. I prefer going to the bathroom at home or any one stall mens/womens bathroom or a one stall family bathroom. If I gotta go, I gotta go and if the one stall bathroom is not an option I think the best thing to do is super awkward and ask.

Anyways, I think we have more in common than dont. I am happy to have more discussion or answer any questions that you may have.

a good therapist listens and lets the patient make up their own mind. Its not their job to intervene unless there is a patient that is suicidal or are being abused at home.

I agree with you, that is why we seek out therapists. There is something in my brain where I cant flip a switch and say that I am not trans anymore. I learned to embrace it rather than hate myself because of it.
