I see a distinct lack of people hacking their lungs out and leaking fluids from every orifice on their face in videos from the incident.
That alone tells me the tear gas narrative is a fucking lie.

A place of privilege? Sure. The privilege of living in a legal society. The privilege of living in a civilization where crime is stopped or, at the least, deterred by a third party.
These dumb fucks seem to forget that police exist specifically to prevent the sort of instant emotional reactions that led to the lynchings they hate so much. And rightly so, the decision of an angry mob is rarely truly just, but... I'd rather 1 bad cop in 100 that is a fucking asshole, race not really having anything to do with it, then take my chances with a swarm of feedback-looping sheep working themselves into a fury strong enough to exact their version of "justice".
