Leftists like abortion because they enjoy lowering standards and cheapening human life, and because religious people hate it. Many (such as doctors) make good money off it too. It also makes it easier for them to fuck without raising a kid, which IMO makes sense but they seem to enjoy the baby murder part regardless.

However, the religious nature of the abortion debate over the ethical one makes the right-wing sound ridiculous because of the poorly-defined reliance on abstractions. Clearly an abortion on the third trimester essentially is murder, but taking a pill the night after a good creampie really isn't. But the religious people will argue for stupid stuff such as being against the latter.
