This is what Don Jr. pointed out:

Satirical novels are typically short, yet very effective and getting their point across.
Though not a satirical novel by any means, this reminded me of the Book of Proverbs, by King Solomon. Short, truthful, precise and has the ability to cut like a two-edged sword.
Here is a comment I pulled from GLP. Spot on.
They can't afford to be sued!
Dominion is rich and powerful, and have the courts behind
them and plus, all the lower courts refuted the cases
and said there is no actual evidence.
All they have to do is shop for a Judge, play the case
with the narratives the lower courts stated---
AND THEY LOOSE THE CASE! Simple.
Add on punitive damages exceeding what they can ever
afford and you basically have stifled speech.
Lawsuits are contrived means of weakening the outcry
of 'not affluent people and entities'.
It's a type of mob boss mentality because---
Judges are lawyers and lawyers are Judges.
I get it, not sure if anyone else really gets this.
Rich people basically win lawsuits against less
rich people because they want their silence is all...
Tell her to fly the US flag in distress form.
