Immigration has never been about helping others, it has always been about helping yourself. You take the smartest people you can from all over for your benefit. That's why poor nations stay poor. Tbh that's really reading between the lines. There are many reasons to be concerned about these vaccines. I don't think them trying to explain vaccine development in terms of technology people are more familiar with is something we should argue over.
You really don't need to read between the lines or try to scavenge for company memos to find a good reason to be concerned about these vaccines. The fact that they've been approves 5x faster than anything before and 9x faster than average is more than enough to raise red flags, and people that have anything approaching common sense. No point in arguing with the others anyway
The problem is: who's really to blame when a badly written law is exploitable? Is it who exploits it? Is it who approved it? Is it both?
Personally i believe it to be entirely the fault of whoever approved it. Cash for clunkers was a terrible law. But i don't blame anyone that took advantage of it. It would have been stupid not to take advantage while everyone else was. You would still suffer the consequences but get nothing out of it.
Similarly if there's a badly written immigration law that allows you to make your life better for yourself and your family it would be foolish not to exploit it. I'd bet you'd do it too if you were born in Congo or some shit. If you don't exploit it someone else will, and the only prize for your righteousness will be starvation.
You can't take back what you've already given. Trust is your most valuable asset as a country. So whoever already immigrated is an American as much as you are. Period. What you need to do is work on reforms to make the law no longer exploitable. As bitter of a solution as it may seem, your trust as a nation is far, far more valuable than having to deal with all the immigrants you've already taken in.
You could maybe try to "bribe" them to go away by giving hefty piles of money to immigrants that renounce their citizenship and go back to their original country. But i seriously doubt they'd take the money.
