Hopefully I will start making more money soon so I can get both a rifle and pistol, maybe a shotgun too. From what everyone is saying they all have distinct uses and drawbacks. Liberal state and hoax-ed 19 don't help the money situation however.
I just looked that up, I think I would break my small wrists haha!
Thanks for the advice, you've given me more ideas to research up on.
I have a civil war mini ball and comparing that to a .22 round is crazy. I can't imagine getting hit with those old rounds we used to shoot each other with.
I hadn't really thought of a pistol caliber carbine, thank you for bringing that to my attention.
Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed post. Truth is I don't even like guns just like I don't like knives or saws, but I recognize its necessity. It's a tool with a purpose and when it comes down to protecting myself and my aging parents, or shooting someone, I am going to shoot every time.
Good to hear, I don't live there but I've visited and its a beautiful state that deserves better.
Less than 1%
It's getting crazy out here and I am right between Seattle and Portland. Might be forced to move.
Thanks for the link
Why would you recommend a rifle first? Is that because a pistol will have limited use in a mass unrest situation?
Yeah leaning towards a pistol first right now. I do have a brother in-law I could contact. He is rural, and I believe shoots on his own property so may be worth the travel.
Eventually I would like to have both, but it looks like a pistol first is the better idea?
Good point.
Not really, in a pretty liberal state too.
WA, so one of the most liberal. Looking for something to use as a last resort if things get out of hand.
Only shotgun and pistol, once.
Makes sense, thanks for the advice
WA, Home use
21 to purchase in my state and my family is definitely not going to buy a gun
Arizona politics are shifting fast, at this point I think Nevada will be more likely to be red.
Don't underestimate them. They will rush you like a horde.
