If you're talking about militias they are largely of the prepper mindset and only care about hunkering down and protecting their own. They'll never go to war. Sure, some are authentic, but many have transitioned to that prepper stuff over the last decade or two.
There are also pro 2A groups which are very active. Not militias though so they don't really organize beyond rallies, marches, and events.
Many handguns have 3. Internal safety and trigger safety are on pretty much all modern handguns. Then if you have a manual slide safety now you're at 3.
And if you have a holster with any safety release you're at 4 safeties.
I believe a lot of people would risk everything but there needs to be a movement to join. There's nothing to actually join right now... no one has taken leadership. And government is working overtime to prevent any leaders voice from rising above the rest.
Hang in there man! We're all in this together! I went through some really rough times to having to move in with friends and was out of work for a long time. Things have gotten a lot better but now I see that threatened but an illegitimate ruling class being installed and am now ready to go broke again to drop everything and move closer to the free states.

I do agree that world events might seem to be more lined up with how many interpret what the bible says about before the end times. But even then, we can't predict it. Someone was telling me the bible never references an overseas country like the United states so we have to be taken out as a major player before the end. My answer was: ummm maybe that just means that by then we've become completely isolationist and don't give a damn about intervening. Trump started no new wars and was pulling us out of other countries so we were well on our way there already. They agreed with me.

They have zero desire to go fight a war. In fact that 100% literally goes against the very fabric of what most preppers even prep for. They don't stockpile food and supplies just to leave it all behind and fight a war. No. They plan to just hunker down and survive on their massive stockpiles for decades without ever going outside again.

They didn't go full prepper because they didn't care about their fellow patriots but because decades of infiltration, media calling them devils, and public misperception pushed them to. Events like Ruby Ridge and Waco also cemented the fact that groups like that can be wiped out with impunity for no legal reason. It was unfair to them for me to call them out for going underground as if it was solely because they wanted to.
