False. I live in a blue city of over a million. It's pretty far left, we even tried to become a sanctuary city but it was voted down every time thank god.
For a long time you would of been right, we did own/buy all the guns. Since the far left started to burn down cities gun sales have skyrocketed (here and across the nation) I talked to a few different ownsers of gun shops and ranges around the area. The vast majority of the people whom recently bought guns are first time buyers. I have had multiple far left staunch Biden Voteing friends whom as have always been anti gun to the point of activly making fun of the fact i own some. Some wouldent come to my house because I own them.
They all now own guns. We (the right) own more guns no doubt what so ever. But they (the left) now have a lot of guns on their side also.
I don't know if this is local to my city but from what I have read this is happening across the nation.
