Our pastor from Nigeria prayed for George Floyd at Mass for a number of weeks (of course no prayers for those killed in the rioting) and is ALL IN on the scamdemic. I used to love going to Mass and am a devout Catholic, but now I dread it. So sad.
I am seriously considering leaving Texas and moving to a freer state like South Dakota or Florida. This mask nonsense is driving me crazy. Enough is enough, Governor Abbott!
Born in the late 50โs. With the exception of George Washington, Donald Trump is absolutely my favorite president. I think the support for him is much, much greater than is apparent because many of us are afraid of being assaulted or killed if we put a bumper sticker on our cars or wear a MAGA hat. Remember, we are older, and these old bones donโt heal as rapidly anymore. Having said that, I would absolutely stand up and die for freedom in America; after all, I have grandchildren who would be suffering under a communist regime long after I am gone.
But is that enough to defeat such rampant evil as we are seeing these days? I have prayed and prayed, said my Rosary, and still evil seems to triumph. We know that, ultimately, good will prevailโOur Lord has โovercome the world.โ But, unless President Trump wins, there will be dark days ahead. St. Thomas More, give us the courage of our convictions, even unto death.
I understand exactly how you feel. I do have trust in God;my husband and I have been praying the Rosary daily for President Trump. But sometimes I wonder if the corruption and evil are so deep, so widespread, that they cannot be overcome in this life. There will be justice in the world to come, this I know, but will there finally be justice in this world? Evil has had a free rein for so long with no consequences at all. Will there be enough fearless, honest men and women in positions of power and responsibility to stand up for the good? I am trying so hard to be optimistic, but each day that goes by with no resolution has caused me to doubt. I will continue to hope and pray for President Trump and all the fine conservative candidates to triumph in the end.
