That is a great point. I'm about to turn 41 and have been feeling like u/jerrycrackcorn Though after reading this, I cannot deny that should I be blessed and start a family I would be a MUCH MUCH MUCH better father (albeit a bit older) than I would have in my 20s or 30s. As of late, I always told myself I would feel horrible because my kid would not have me around as long....but now...I'm sure said future child would have a MUCH better life having me as a GREAT father for a shorter time than a shitty father for a longer time. that's how I've been feeling lately as I'm about to be 41. I never wanted kids...then my 30s hit and my sister had a baby....I've wanted a family ever since lol I was in a shitty place then though and a much better one today so still praying and pretty confident it may actually happen for me....who knows though! That's part of the beauty of life in a way...if we all knew what was in store for us, things would be quite boring.
