My comment wasn't a complaint. More of an observation. The only way to fix this issue is to purge the system and cut out the cancer. You are right though. Complaining and not offering solutions or helping in any way is just whining.
I agree. I spend money elsewhere too. If they are going to shit on my beliefs I will take my money to someone who appreciates my contribution. I don't shop at Walmart anymore because of their stance and what I see as a lack of respect for most of the country. They don't get my money anymore. Pro sports won't get my support either. Never again. College or semi pro is who I will support
It's not the responsibility of the government to ensure everyone is prepared. That is an individual responsibility. This record cold and snow was predicted over a week ahead of the event. Maybe even 2 weeks. I made sure to have enough food, water, batteries and gas for vehicles as well as needed medications.

I'm in South Austin and the powee has been going off every 4 hours or so and it stays off between 1 and 4 hours. I'm not disagreeing that it is crazy but I am glad there is help for the homeless. They would freeze to death if they have to stay out in this cold. I have my heat turned up more than normal so when the power goes off it will be warm longer. I'm keeping my rechargeable lights charged as well as my phones.
