If you guessed that Fascists of a Feather Flock Together, you win the First Prize,

Yes, some Canadian of Indian (Punjabi) origin paid both.
Actually, farmers are not the real ones protesting in large numbers.. It is the filthy rich middlemen from just one state of spoiled brats - Punjab that is behind this. Because this legislation will gradually end the monopoly of these parasites, they are desperate to reverse this reform.
Most well informed small farmers totally wnat this.
India did ban Chinese Tik Tok and hundreds of other Chinese apps. My impression is no one misses them because each app had more than a few Indian counterparts. I have gathered that now, the Indian alternatives collectively offer a wider range of options and specialized choices.
Indian alternatives to the US tech monopolies exist, But the best ones get snapped up fast. For instance, Flipkart - an Amazon rival got bought out by Walmart. But other competitors exist and others are emerging.
I am told there will also be alternatives to the Google/Apple app stores.
An alternative to Twitter is also growing followers - a bit like Gab when it started.
The actress is fiesty and outspoken Kangana Ranaut. Being suspended/banned on Twitter is now being seen as a badge of honor. Of course, I'd like her to simply Walk Away with all her fans. India has more than a few alternatives of its own.
Discovering many Indian Trump supporters on that site!!!
One of the best comments: its digital terrorism
Amazon, Twitter, FB, Google are all Digital Terrorists
I have family and many friends in India. Unfortunately, like Vietnam, India has Communist parties active and in power in some provinces. But the majority of the country is sick of them. Completely agree with you. Would love to visit Vietnam some day. Best wishes!!
Absolutely. Very well put.
I can imagine. I used to think that at least in the sciences, universities might be less vulnerable to political manipulation - but when I see what has happened to my nephew who prides himself as a bioscientist - it is actually very depressing.
With great effort, I was able to get him to see the utter high-handedness of the lockdowns - but overall he had completely bought into all the false dogmas that condemned HCQ, that rejected any scientific paper that challenged the natural origins of. the Wuhan virus, or that perennial lockdowns were acceptable means of managing a virus that is not generally lethal. He was also completely unbothered that so many papers had to be retracted by supposedly esteemed journals like the New England Journal or Lancet (and others).
He has completed submitted to the dominant view that China can do no wrong and those suggesting otherwise are idiotic conspiracy theorists that should just be summarily dismissed. If he were atypical - it wouldn't really matter - but there are literally thousands like him.
Thanks!!! Needed that!
Not a long read and well worth reading.
Just read this - as someone who is not a history major or terribly knowledgeable about constitutional law, I found this fascinating and very enlightening.
It addresses the very arguments WI has made regarding why the case should not be accepted.
I also thought that describing the Democratic elite as an oligarchy was also very apt and relevant. Very impressed.
On page 18, as part of the requested relief - there is this phrase - or to appoint no Electors at all.
If hypothetically all 4 states appoint no electors and AZ and NV are not resolved in favor of Trump, would that not leave Biden with 245 to Trump's 231?
Am I missing something - could someone elaborate or clarify here. Would appreciate it.
It depends which part of India they come from. Some states have very backward politics even in India. Immigrants from those states such as where Sundar Pichai comes from bring their backward politics with them.
My extended family is from NW India (driven out from Pakistan by Islamofascists) and are mostly rooting for Trump. Most Gujarati Americans are for Trump.
We are not all the same.
I did that too!
Very interesting.
NV and CO are definitely possible based on official data showing early ballot and in person voting trends. VA is also not impossible. DE early voting is actually anemic. NH is also below par.
NM would require some DEM cross-voting. Some polls have showed it very close.
I think this scenario is indeed a possibility.
Incidentally, early voting in NY is also significantly below par. Especially when compared to other New England states. My hunch is it will be far closer than what the polls are suggesting.
It appears that this does not apply to civilian ballots. They must be received by election day.
This is from the Voting by Mail website
For civilian absentee voters, the container-return envelope with the voted ballot enclosed must be returned to the county board of elections no later than 5 p.m. on Election Day, November 3.
Took a Vit D hammer. Cured the uncontrollable coughing in a couple of days. Took another week or 10 days for a full recovery.
Watching online videos would give me severe headaches but all that went away.
Have been completely healthy since.
Best wishes.
Me too - though now retired. I'd sign a recall petition too.
That will probably be appealed, right?
To elaborate, the Indian govt. had asked Twitter to remove various purveyors of fake news. Numerous anti-Indian terror groups (Islamic, Khalistani and Maoist) were spreading utter lies about a genocide of farmers in India.
After years of censoring patriots in the US, Twitter audaciously defied the initial govt. instructions in the name of free speech. But when senior Indian govt. agencies and 3 million twitter users shifted to multi-lingual Indian rival Koo in 3 days, Twitter developed cold feet and substantially backed off.
While in general I would staunchly defend free speech, I can see the case for an exception here.
Clearly, there is great confusion and misunderstanding of what happened on Jan 6 in India. But, Twitter's brazen hypocrisy had them cornered.
