I wasn't really a "punk" as far as my style went, but most of my friends in my teens and as an early adult were, and I actually did front a pop punk band for a few years in my late teens, early twenties.
What kills me is that all my punk friends when we were younger were like:
"Fuck the establishment! Nothing's gonna change until we have people in power that are anti-establishment!"
Those same friends, now in our 40's:
"Fuck Trump! Dude, how can you like him? He's sucks so much that the entire establishment in both parties hate him!"
Me: Jackie Chan What? meme.
On a side note, I submitted this exact same post on Reddit right before I posted on here. I find it interesting that the post here has three times as many upvotes as the one on Reddit. It got downvoted to oblivion over there almost immediately. The_Donald on Reddit is already lost.
Notice how pretty much no serious, call to action or organizational type posts are on our front page there. Only stupid memes get any upvotes.
