I hear you, I grew up in a home with 4 children. Many of the times multiple of us were in multiple sports. We used a calendar. Each one of us kids had our own color. Every activity we were in practices, appointments, school events etc were written in our own color, as well as our parents work schedules were on it in Black ink. My parents worked swing shift our entire lives.
We were not allowed to have cell phones (smart phones didn't exist) until we had a job and a way to pay our own way, weren't allowed to drive until we could afford insurance.
The calendar in a central location was the easiest way to know what was going on at any time. Teach the kids how to read the calendar. This will be pivotal moving forward. We never had to worry about internet or anything because we just simply didn't have internet. My parents didn't have Internet until my youngest brother was a jr. In highschool and that was in 2010.
