History has proven time and again people won't rise up until they're actually suffering in mass. I'm pretty sure the "President" could declare that he was going to start sacrificing people's children to satan on live TV and nobody would do shit until THEIR kid got picked up from daycare by the cops.
Wait for real? That means a lot of the OG smokeless powder lever guns are antique, that's kinda cool. Winchester 1894 in 30-30 casually legal for it's ancient status.
Edit: I looked into it more closely. What makes something antique is actually more specific. Centerfire cartridges are not considered antique. So a black powder sharps rifle made in 1867 chambered in .50-70 is not an antique, but a bran spankin' new CVA Paramount muzzleloading hunting rifle is an antique.
Ruby Ridge TLDR:
Guy is entrapped by the feds into selling a sawed off shotgun. Missed his court date, US Marshals probing around his house in the night are chased by his dog, his son and friend go to check it out. Marshals shoot his dog and fire is exchanged where a Marshal and the guys son die.
Mind you there is no reason for this dude to believe the guys in the dark are US Marshals its just guys in the dark with guns who shot his dog.
The government then sends like an entire fucking army to lay siege to his house with orders to shoot on sight. He is shot in the shoulder walking to the shed to grieve over his sons body and his wife is shot in the face while holding his infant daughter (both by snipers). A jury of his peers find him not guilty of anything but failing to appear at a court date.
Waco TLDR:
Christian end times group owns a ranch outside of town. They are stockpiling weapons for the end times. ATF gets wind that they are converting rifles into fully automatic and decides to storm the ranch with a search warrant. Reports vary about who fired the first shot, but video footage shows it was almost certainly the ATF shooting their dogs and then the ATF reacting to their own shots thinking the group was opening fire on them. Huge gunfight follows where 6 davidians and 4 ATF agents are killed, with 15 more agents wounded.
For 2 months the FBI lays siege to the ranch before sending in tanks to pump the building full of flammable tear gas powder and wrecking everything then burning the building down and shooting people escaping. While lying to the public and completely gaslighting the situation even though there is video evidence and a continuous FLIR vide of the entire event. Spin it as crazy cult commits ritual suicide, which is utter bullshit.
Soviet Russia is basically the only communist state I don't consider to have been full pants on head retarded when it started (hear me out). The reason is they were the first. Czarist Russia was a shit show that treated people like dirt and turn of the century Russian peasants probably thought this whole workers utopia steal the power from monarchs and have the people rule thing sounded pretty good. There had been rolling revolutions in Europe for at least a century now and maybe this would be a real new thing that takes over.
Well, they quickly proved it absolutely doesn't work. It's an utterly blood drenched nightmare. Basically everything everyone said would happen, did happen. Game over, lights out man. Everyone who tried it after them is just fucking insane or thinks they'll be in the ruling class.
I imagine it kind of like the United States in 1776, where a bunch of idealistic people got together and were like "we're going to do this crazy thing that nobody has ever done before and we're convinced it'll bring about prosperity and everything will kick ass. Fuck monarchy". Except in America it actually was a good idea, and actually does kick ass.
In Russia they were also like "fuck monarchy lets do this crazy idea were convinced will make everything prosperous and awesome". Then it all went completely to shit and right then everyone should have burned their copies of the communism manifesto and communism should have faded into history as "crazy shit that totally didn't work".
Pasting from my comment further up:
A law passed in 1934 made it illegal to own a rifle with a barrel less than 16 inches long, without registering it and paying a fee.
People get around this by buying rifles in pistol configurations, by removing the stock. Then replace the stock with a forearm brace that can be used pretty much exactly like a stock. This has been established to be fine and the gun is just considered a pistol (which are not subject to the restriction of shorter barrels)
Recently the ATF released a letter saying they were going to start going after people with these forearm brace "pistols". They have now retracted that statement.
For visual understanding, here is a picture of a forearm braced AR pistol

Can I just say that this from the other side is kind of hilarious though. People watch movies and shit where there is a "smart guy" who knows everything and just assume that's a real thing.
I'll be sitting around with my gym buddies and we're talking about something and someone will turn to me and ask a technical question like "why do brownouts affect certain areas in the grid and not others?" and i'm like... wait why the fuck do you expect me to know that? I'm a chemist not a civil engineer.
One of my biggest "two buttons" meme moments is when your choice is between hyper woke made in the USA vs foreign made.
I recently completed an AT thruhike (fuck the ATC), and all of my gear was made in the USA by cottage companies, but some of them got so retardedly woke I ended up buying a few things from japan just to avoid them. One company, USA Made, was donating 10% of their profits to BLM and I was like, yeah i'll just buy it from foreign communists rather than domestic communists.
It manifests itself differently in different optics, but a red dot has electronics in the bottom to bounce the dot against the glass. I'm guessing all the circuitry that hooks the power source (the battery) to the operating guts breaks. I mean I don't know many electronic devices that are going to be happy getting as insanely hot as a barrel can get.
How well does that rear sight replacement mount hold zero?
Also the cheapest upgrade that absolutely is worth it and you'll never go back is one of those extended safety selectors that allow you to operate it with your index finger.
Yeah, the Benelli M4 is a shotgun designed for combat situations, so it's gas system is tuned to operate with full length buckshot or slugs. I don't think they expect the military to be loading it with birdshot or shorty shells any time soon.
a Benelli M4 is basically a top of the line semi-auto that is subject to 922 laws (foreign import laws, it's from Italy) so it doesnt come in it's normal format (limited mag tube) and is extremely expensive. Running around 2000 usually. Where as a still extremely high quality semi-auto shotgun from a respected manufacturer is often around 700-1000, like a mossberg 930 in 18in format (shortest non-NFA barrel length) holds 7+1 by default, with a tube extension they can hold more, but it makes your gun really long and is basically just a 3-gun competition thing.
Reliable semi shotguns these days are actually quite common and cheap, but a benelli m4 is kind of the gucci tactical option.
The general understanding is a natural human right is one that you will have unless someone were to take it from you.
For instance freedom of speech is a natural right because if nobody else existed I can still say whatever I want.
Where as birth control isn't a natural right because it's a thing someone else has to supply to you.
