Because they're the only liberal democracy in a war-torn portion of the world that, if they got half a chance, would murder us all. Israel is our best bet for civilizing the Middle-East, and that is something we should be invested in because they will burn the whole world down if we don't.

Whatever form the power of the people takes in this world, a large majority of women (not all, but a large majority) will lever that power toward those ends, and when I stack that problem up next to my genuine belief in equal rights, I don't know what to do. No society we could create will ever hold women responsible for the foolish decisions they make and foolish beliefs they hold (not saying men don't make foolish decisions or have foolish beliefs, but society generally holds them accountable for such things) because doing so is evolutionary disadvantageous; see the 'sneaky fucker' strategy.
How do we overcome that fatal problem without unfairly restricting over half the population from civic participation?
