The GOP will decide to take their chances and "let the voters decide" in November and know Republicans will vote down the ballot for Trump or handicap Trump with a dem House and Senate (something they would be happy with bnb too)

Yep when Trump leaves (either January or in 4 years) I dont have to be stuck with this party anymore. Democrats are ruthless in pushing their ideology, Republicans just care about keeping their seats.

The "disaster predictions always overestimate" part. That was just a pretty weak argument I picked up from someone blaming Trump for deaths from a global pandemic. Honestly it might even be true that the government over estimates, but the whole argument is a "have your cake and eat it too" type of thing.
