The first great depression was used as an excuse to push socialist policies, encourage women in the workforce and increase taxes. Given the way the Globalists are trying to manufacture a crash to usher in a great reset using covid-19, I wouldn't doubt that the great depression was orchastrsted to usher in the beginning of their socialist agendas.

The more the in-fighting continues the more it allows them the freedom to persecute their enemies and dismantle any resistance. They can consolidate their power. An actual civil war would allow them to take on tons of debt to reshape the economy toward their ends, while purging the country of any resistance to their goals. They don't imagine themselves losing of course.
The constitution was subverted when civil rights were added to the legal code. Under this guise the government can continue to legislate away your freedom under the guise of protecting civil rights.
The USA went down the path of international socialism as soon as it implemented the fed, income taxes and pushed through the New Deal along with continued redistribution programs.

No one smart enough to start a civil war that they might actual win at would promote Nazis. They might actually be Hitler 2.0 exactly and want to kill all the Jews but they'd call it something else entirely like the National Christian Capitalist Party instead then wave some new flag around. Branding is important. That's something actual neo-Nazis seem to have forgotten. What do companies do when they brand image is hurting? They just rebrand and even though nothing has changed about the company, people fall for the rebranding every time.
Different time periods call for different vernacular. Don't get too caught up in the words because ultimately, they are labels meant to act as a representation for something that in theory should be easily distinguishable and understood.
Put another way... The CCP calls themselves Communist but behaves far more fascist, would you not agree? The Democratic Party in the USA literally stole an election and entirely subverted democracy. Imagine in 100 years from now if two guys on the internet were arguing about the 2020 election steal and one guy's reasoning for why the steal didn't happen is because there's no way the Democratic party would undermine democracy...
What I'm trying to say is if you were a Nationalistic Capitalist country, you would start to appear a lot like the Nazis in terms of economics. But if you're Trump in the 21st century speaking to Americans you don't call yourself a National Socialist. You call yourself a Patriot who supports Capitalism even if it amounts to the same thing as National Socialist because of how those words resonate with people in modern times. In Hitler's days socialism/communism was the fad in Europe and Capitalism was seemingly on its way out.
Again, the problem Hitler had with capitalism was actually international capitalist. The capitalism that reduced countries sovereignty by becoming reliant on foreign countries for their production. Guess what? That's exactly what Trump has a problem with and why he has been trying to bring manufacturing back to the USA and engaging in trade wars. Yes, I agree that ultimately the inner workings of the two economic systems are different with Nazis being more government control than Trump's capitalism but the essence of what both were trying to accomplish is actually very similar.
