Doggos told us that is why the change occurred. I'm not able to take his word for it (perhaps I should be). Talking to the Washington Post could be an indication that the mod is unafraid of doing so because he has protection from the feds. You could be right, just airing some doubts here.
The story given by Doggos about the TDW domain was pretty sketchy. He said his forum software only works on .win sites. There is no reason whatsoever for forum software to have anything to do with the particular TLD of the site. I don't see any good reason for a MAGA-focused community to be linked to the crap listed in the left sidebar either, I don't think any of us want this place to turn into another Reddit. The domain switch (along with so much else) occurred very soon after Biden was sworn in. I think the guy who owned the old domain has since accused Doggos of being full of it, too.

I know an older Trump-voting Republican woman and even she refers to men who dress as women (trannies, to be clear) as "she/her". I heard a Trump-voting Republican female friend today make a comment about "all the hate against Asians". I can't convince them to stop normalizing this insanity and assume in lieu of independently verifiable evidence that the media is full of shit... they just nod then keep following the left while paying lip-service to conservative values.
