If anyone has a raspberry pi or a linux machine at home, I want to recommend setting up pihole

It's a network wide ad/tracking blocker you can set up at home, anything connected to your network will be unable to view any ads. The beauty of this is that it isn't limited to just a web browser, it blocks ads EVERYWHERE. Even on mobile devices, everything. Using an android phone is a totally different experience with no ads anywhere. You can even combine this with a vpn so it will work on your mobile devices away from home too.

Cannot recommend this enough

And I thought 4d chess was just a meme 😮

Linux mint. I tried it and liked it, and still use it occasionally. It's pretty beginner friendly, and when you have questions about how to do things(you will) or run into problems, most common things can be answered with a simple web search.

Second this.

This is the only reason I still go on to reddit. If hoarders.win ever exists, I won't have a reason to visit that shithole again.

Unraid server with a little over 100TB. I have a long way to go towards filling it up, but it feels good to have total control over my files.

Also, fuck "the cloud", fuck big tech, and fuck Hollywood

Arrrrr

Currently working in this district. When you get outside of Eugene, there are Trump signs EVERYWHERE and a good portion of cars on the road are all flying Trump and American flags. It's beautiful!

Thank you for posting this.

Although the OPs general point still stands. Teachers all across the country are force feeding this garbage to children. It's not ok and this is a big problem for all of us.

This is the kind of thing that makes me glad I don't have kids. I can't imagine the feeling of knowing my child is forced to spend every weekday being indoctrinated by this garbage.

The communism that has plagued our society (specifically teachers unions and higher education) is one of the top 3 problems our country faces right now, and I pray that after Trump gets elected we can take steps to rid ourselves from this.

one of my favorite videos from 2016, I've watched this so many times and it never gets old 😂

Another (now unlisted) placeboing classic the commies at youtube don't want you to see: https://youtu.be/wQ4PYVATBac

By almost every measure that political operatives, academics and handicappers use to forecast elections, the likely outcome is that Joe Biden will win the White House.

Yet two weeks before Election Day, the unfolding reality of 2020 is that it’s harder than ever to be sure.

What?? 😂

Most mainstream "news" is so hard for me to read nowadays. When the article starts out with BS like this, I can't take the rest of it seriously.

This is why Mark's radio show is one of my favorites to listen to, he has zero problem calling out republicans and other "colleagues" in addition to the democrats. People on our side need criticism when they deserve it too. If not, that's how you end up with people like Chris Wallace in the media and RINOs in the government in the first place.

Same. Although I'll admit I did buy a PS3 for the specific purpose of jailbreaking it, as soon as that became possible shortly after/in retaliation to the linux removal fiasco.

What really sealed the deal for me was the discovery (after PS3 jailbreaking became a thing) of how much personal/private info every PS3 was sending back to Sony, things that they never publicly disclosed. Unfortunately this is a common practice nowadays with big tech companies, but at the time this was a big step over the line.

The triggered feminist screaming in a car meme might be my favorite so far in 2020

Totally agree, it's clown world

It's been this way for over 20 years now. I'm 34 and have been voting since I turned 18. I've never in my life had the ability to actually go to a physical location to vote in person.

This all started before my adult years, but I imagine it was/is a combination of:

  • apathy and laziness of the general public (voting at home is convenient, you don't have to go anywhere)
  • propaganda. The local news hammers away to no end about how safe and secure the mail only voting process is. It's so progressive, on and on.

Democrats now have such a majority in state politics that this isn't going to change anytime soon. They do what they want and there are no consequences for their actions.

Because it's "safe", it's "convenient", it's "foolproof", and there's NO WAY that voter fraud could ever occur in a solid blue state. That's what the media and politicians say anyway.

Just don't question the security of the ballot drop off locations in places like grocery store entrances, wal mart parking lots, etc.

Don't question all the ballot fuckups during the primary elections earlier this year, that coincidentally only happened to registered republicans.

Don't question the fact that illegals now have the ability to obtain ID cards and drivers licenses here, even though voters have repeatedly rejected it.

Don't question the fact that the ballots are all counted by state employees behind closed doors.

The state government says it's secure, so it's secure! Surely they would never mislead us.

There's no way you'll convince me that Kate brown got re elected fair and square. She was/is so hated that even the far left newspaper the Oregonian out of Portland had endorsed Knute Buehler, but she still wins and it isn't even that close.

With the way the voting process here is set up, It just seems like there are so many ways the democrats could game the system and never get caught but nobody ever talks about it.

Even in leftist Oregon which has had mail in only ballots for 20 years now, they still have to be mailed or turned in by election night so they can be counted in time. There is zero reason for this other than to fuck with the votes.
