It's interesting that Communist China doesn't enforce any kind of legal drinking age. Still, or perhaps because of that, young people are very responsible with alcohol. They drink it at an early age but they think it's uncool to be drunk. Uncool old people are drunk.

The typical gun crime was failing to have one. It was mandatory for men of a draftable age to have his governmentn issued assault gun ready.

Didn't a researcher publish an article a couple of years ago about accomplishing that artificially by attaching a part of the HIV-1 virus to a Corona virus. I think I remember that they were from Wuhan but I don't remember what journal it was. It was criticized for creating a biohazard.
