Your political or ideological views are protected under US Federal Law, specifically 42 USC § 2000a. This is the Federal regulation concerning discrimination. It is Illegal to discriminate based on sex, religion, race, etc, and National Origin. National Origin is typically used to keep immigrants from being discriminated against for housing, job, etc. However, there is nothing in the legislation precluding it from applying to US citizens as well. This means you can argue that since half the US is conservative (or liberal, rights work both ways) and those values and traditions are a part of our national identity and heritage, anyone discriminating against you for those beliefs is in violation of US Federal Law.

3 weeks ago I posted a meme as a comment reply in an invite only private FB group that highlighted the complete failure Bill deBlasio is in raising his daughter and showcased her public behavior including her very own public images of her appearing nude (but not showing privates) and appearing to be strung out on drugs. Search for yourself to see this train wreck.
In other invite only groups, I posted another meme comment reply that highlighted the fact that all humans were the same color at one point and showed a white substance on a table, a crude but humorous anecdote. I think you get the reference. These were humorous and informative anecdotes in private groups of relevant political nature. There was no racism or calls for violence as have been seen and documented for years without Facebook taking action to those posters.
On June 21, around 4am, FB restricted my posting for 24 hours because of these posts. This has deFacto made Facebook a publisher under section 230 of the 1996 Communication Decency Act. This means they are no longer a Platform and have thus surrendered their legal protections under section 230 regarding liability from me. Facebook Fact checkers/ reviewers, this is your warning and notice.

One last note, Packingham vs NC. In 2017, the Supreme Court stated that social media is the modern public square and therefore US Citizens First Amendment Free Speech protections apply on social media as a way to disseminate and discuss ideas regardless of whether they are a Private company (Facebook is Publicly Traded so this point is therefore moot). Facebook operates and is headquartered in the US after all which means they are subject to and must abide by US Laws. Section 230 would protect them in this case as a Platform but their actions toward their users have shown they are acting as a publisher and therfore these protections are invalid.
Facebook restricting my account even for just 24 hours has made them culpable for Tortious Interference with Economic Advantage. They used their power disparity and inability to seek redress to hurt me financially. I use Facebook to either post or respond to offers to give away or pick up shifts for work on a Facebook group. My ability to respond to offers to work a shift has already been impacted as I was unable to do so. (I have screenshots for evidence should it be necessary. ) Again, this is for posting non-violent, non-threatening, publicly available images as memes in a Private Facebook group.
Facebook's Terms of Service contract is unconscinable. Facebook engages in unequal enforcement of their Terms of Service across their business (Restricting/banning/Censoring some for speech they don't like while ignoring others who more closely align with them politically/ideologically). There are numerous examples. Terms of Service are a legal contract between the user and contractor. They must have parity under the law with neither side getting an undue advantage over the other. That is no longer the case with the unequal enforcement and constant updates to their ToS in addition to abuse of words like "harassment" to censor and silence those that go against their ideological views.
Like Google, Reddit, Twitter, etc, Facebook uses the term "hate speech" to encompass any speech that they do not agree with ideologically. Hate Speech is not recognized by the government as a thing. There is no crime there. The US Supreme Court has upheld that "hate speech" is free speech as long as it isn't inciting or calling for violence. You don't have to like racists and Nazis on YouTube any more than I do but they have a right to communicate as long as they are following the law. Federal Law protects websites from being held accountable for the content on their platforms under the Communications Decency Act of 1996 as long as they are a Platform. This is the infamous section 230 I already mentioned. Tech companies are using their social media Monopoly status to bully users into their way of thinking using words like magic spells and saying whatever it takes to get the outcome they want. Free speech becomes targeted harassment. Censorship becomes Protection. Thankfully, the DoJ, FCC and Congress are finally starting to take action. We're seeing anti-trust and section 230 updates being discussed and action beginning to take shape.
I have been following and commenting on this issue for 3 years regarding Facebook, Twitter, Google, Reddit, and the rest of the Silicon Valley ideological bubble that thinks they can continue to censor Americans for their views. Since gender is a social construct according to the left and you can choose your gender, I, a biological male now Identify as a woman. This makes me Transgendered. Since I am sexually attracted to biological females, I am now a lesbian. I choose to express my gender as male, facial hair, mannerisms, pronouns, etc. Thus, I am now a Masculine Presenting Transgendered Lesbian! I will be changing my license by having Female put on it since there is nothing to prevent me from doing so. This means I can now claim all the unearned privileges that women get over men and protects me as I now have government endorsement of my gender. On Monday, June 15th, the US Supreme Court voted 6-3 in upholding that gender identity is covered under "sex" when it comes to the law for employers. They just handed you loaded gun to protect yourself and don't even know it yet. The left uses words like magic spells to get what they want. Use it to your advantage and out crazy them.
