I live next to a few wind turbines
You wouldn’t believe how many times a year they break down. There are only 8 where I live but a few of them break 2-4 times a week.
Geese, hawks, ducks, bats you name it, they flown into it
You can see the dried up bird blood on the blades which has now turned brown/black and impossible to come off. The turbine company had to replace a few blades because of some dents and bullet holes.
Neighbour invited the local news to do a story about all the birds it kills each year but he never got a response back from them.
The turbines get VERY loud during certain times of day too and the ones that have bullet holes in the blades make a horrible noise.
