I can certainly understand your attitude toward it. I’ll agree with an argument that it definitely doesn’t fall into an “all good things in moderation” group of activities like having a couple/three drinks vs finishing a bottle.
But I won’t automatically condemn someone for having fallen into the porn trap. If Jenna Jameson can inject some level of sanity into a world she’s closer to than you or me, good on her. Your mileage may vary, and that’s ok.

But Ontario outside of Toronto is nice. Calgary is great. Vancouver is a cool city albeit filled with progressive filth. Montreal was always disappointing to me. It was always what another poster said. Surprisingly industrial in the outskirts, but parts of the inner city were awesome. QC is beautiful as well. The Chateau Frontenac or something like that is gorgeous.

I’ll never truly understand politics in New England despite growing up there in three different states. Hunting is big in the upper 3. Fishing in the eastern 4 and part of CT. One of the whiter parts of the country after the plains and upper Rocky Mountain states. The birthplace of the revolution.
But, it’s home to so many Liberal liberal arts colleges. And too many of them stick around.
Our politics have never tracked with those over in Europe. In Europe, the Jewish population could generally count on the further left party to at least pretend to protect their interests. Neither side in Europe represented the more Libertarian view which both of our parties has adopted over the years.
While today’s Dem party seems to have completely abandoned any sort of freedom loving principles and looks like a more traditional Euro left party, the GOP here has embraced libertarian principles while also adopting a more America first agenda and Israel is important than in years past.
For Jewish people looking below the surface, supporting the GOP is a no brainer. For those Framing politics in superficial, Old World constructs, it’s more difficult.

CO here. Lots of Prius drivers who I hate being behind at stoplights- this is due to the drivers rather than the car I think. The Subaru drivers are a mix of people who know how to drive in snow and people from less snowy climates who have no clue and never change over from summer tires.
Free trade deals, negotiated properly, work. Even nafta, which wasn’t, had some positive affects. Yearly availability of all types of produce at cheaper prices being one.
I’m looking forward to cheaper and different brands of scotch.
Not our concern once we are rid of them. Indigenous people can hunt their whales. They can pay us to drill their oil. We get to stop talking about western suppression. Everything works out.
