I think way more people were expecting one man backed by a portion of the courts and a portion of the military and a portion of the alphabet agencies to actively prevent voter fraud and prosecute those who tried to commit it. Which wasn't entirely unrealistic until everyone was faced with the jarring realization that literally all of those have gone full Judas.

Communism is when a small group of dark triad leaders convince the masses that they want to make everyone as equal as possible in every way. Every NPC who falls for it imagines being equal to someone who is a little more well off than they are. Trump did make a tweet pleading with everyone to cooperate with law enforcement while the proceedings unfolded, and his instructions were to march to the capitol to encourage reluctant and cowardly representatives by showing that millions of people wanted them to object. We also have video footage of actual patriots trying to stop agitators from breaking windows. As a whole group we did not retaliate even when they murdered an unarmed woman. However I do know some actual patriots did enter the building. Everyone making a big deal of it, well again, I kind of wish it had gone the way Trump intended it to go. I also kind of don't feel bad that some unarmed protesters spent time in the building.

A deep fake of the president would frankly be among the smallest of potatoes in the lengthy list of brazen evil crap our enemies have done so far.

You ever been in a heated argument in which you were 100% right and the other person started making personal attacks and strawmans and such because they were losing and you just suddenly snapped and savagely called them out on something personal in a way that just destroyed them and now you're still 100% right but look like the bad guy and kind of regret the brutal personal attack but also kind of feel justified because they subjected you to 30+ minutes of provocative circular BS even though they knew they were wrong.
