I didn't grow up in NYC but we had a teacher show up drunk to class and she did this for years - people grades ahead of me remembered her. She still wasn't fired and she was totally shitfaced all the time.
When I was in public school teachers would take classroom time to complain about their wages to us.
Our district is one of the best in the country and I remember reading somewhere between 40 - 60% of students in our district are failing right now due to online classes. That is staggering.

I’ve never been to WSB but when I was on Reddit, the subs I was subscribed to would generally be pretty even handed, but if we made it on the front page we would be swamped with orange man bad rhetoric with 20k upvotes. Idk if it’s bots or it just puts subs on the hiveminds radar but that stuff might not be organic or indicative of the people in that sub in general.
