State legislatures have no role in a contingent election.

A contingent election for president is entirely decided in the U.S. House of Representatives. Each states representatives form a delegation, and that delegation has 1 vote. The party that has more representatives seated in that state, effectively controls how the delegation votes. So for example, Florida has 27 house representatives. 14 are Republicans, 13 are Democrats, therefore the Republicans effectively control Florida's single vote.

Exactly, so it's possible for a Wyoming flip by Liz Cheney to gridlock everything at 25/25. Those numbers are also based on the last seated congress, not the incoming congress. I'm not sure if those numbers have changed with the incoming congress. I've heard that Pelosi could refuse to seat new members of congress, not sure if the speaker of the house has that power.

VP has no role in a house vote for president in the event of a contingent election. VP might have a role in the senate contingent VP vote, but that's not clear because a tie has never come up there. Some say VP can break a tie, others say he couldn't, unclear.

If we can avoid this it would be better. Liz Cheney controls the entire Wyoming delegation, because she is the only house representative for all of Wyoming.

If she were to flip in a contingent election, and neither candidate ended up with 26 votes, the house would have to revote again and again until someone eventually hit 26.

Exactly. It’s not about preserving the wholeness of the union, it’s about preserving our liberties.

I feel like the people so vehemently against secession haven’t given any thought to how it would play out besides a very basic idea of red states vs. blue states. Real life isn’t reflected in an electoral map. There would never be a clean separation of red and blue with the state territories as they are now.

Cloth masks are the same argument. False sense of security. It’s meant to instill fear and achieve compliance.

The Cuban missile crisis and the Cold War were designed to make people so afraid of war, that they would willingly surrender their liberties in order to maintain a false peace, defined by ever increasing uniparty corruption. The same playbook is being used now with COVID and the great reset. Tell me I’m wrong.

Unfortunately, you are wrong. A contingent election is when each state in the House of Representatives has 1 vote for president. Control of the state delegation is effectively determined by which party has more reps seated from that state. In the case of Wyoming, Liz Cheney is the only representative for the state, so she is the entire delegation.

Uniparty arrogance. They act like we still live in an age before the internet.

The left tends to think of the military as being composed of mindless robots that will do their bidding without question.
