Which led to people 80 years ago allowing things, and people 60 years ago allowing even more, etc. etc. etc.

The people working there are the answer to that problem. When you hire and keep around slugs, the service sucks and business suffers.

The correct response of firing the people that lead to the situation never happens. Even fast food joints needs a meritocracy to actually function, just like every other level of society. When you take that away it collapses and festers.
Most people today couldn't stomach half of what they are required to do if they actually followed the rules stated in the bible. That's part of why the majority of churches are pushing all sorts of nonsense, they can't actually tell people the truth so they have to water it down or no one will show up and put money in the pot.

Considering "sexual assault" now is anything from "I chose to sleep with him, but the morning after I just changed my mind" to "He didn't buy me the right wine at dinner", and it's almost never taken to the police, I have no sympathy for anyone claiming it anymore. Produce a police report and then I'll have even the slightest amount of belief that you might be telling the truth.
When it comes to pity party things like this campaign I have only contempt for the manipulative liars that know exactly what they're doing.

The eroding of our rights and freedoms by people that only want control is an entirely other conversation but it's the reason why rights, like gun ownership, is as limited as it is and why certain groups are always trying to further place limits and outright remove it. You can't control an armed populace, but you can slowly take away their ability to be armed to eventually take control of them.
Except that's also what I'm taking about. The more people that can do something without needing a permit or other nonsense means more people that will do that leading to not only more sales of all types, but wanting to practice with that thing. The way it is now less people want to buy it because they can't ever carry it in most situations so it's pointless to buy more than one for just home defense. I.E. lost sales.
Taking away the need for a CC permit means that business would go up because that's one less hoop to jump through to carry any weapon. That means more sales, not less, so the excuse is stupid.
The difference from Florida's laws is that you can actually step over your property line onto, say, a street, and not have to worry about the karen next door trying something because you can openly carry everywhere instead of only openly on your property while needing a concealed carry anywhere else.
