Fuck it. I just got a paycut and I work for a giant hospital conglomerate. Know why? Because our volumes are wayyyyy down. No one in the hospital due to all elective procedures cancelled and no one out or getting hurt at work.

So this was supposed to overload our hospitals instead we cannot even justify staffing most of them because it's doing shit in most areas of the country except for some hotspots. Then everyone will complain when all smaller orgs get swallowed up by big giant mega corporations to ride out the storm. How does any of this make sense except they really want the economy tanked come November???

Problem is everyone will cry they are at risk and demand to also stay home. If old bill who is 65 gets to stay home and get his paycheck millenial worker Sammi will complain and say it's not fair I am also at risk and try to sue or cause a social media outrage mob. Therefore we all go home because people only talk about sacrifice when on the internet. But to nut up and do it is a whole other ball game.

Worse. Saw on my local sub on reddit that there is an asshole working remote calling the government to report their office has other employees coming in to work....

Good job asshole - now no one in your company including you will have a job soon. I hope their co-workers find out who reported later and see how happy they were to be protected from getting a paycheck....

Just waiting for the post later of "I been out of work since coronavirus. Capitalism has failed! I need UBI!!!!"

Because they want the looting that eventually will happen to get this shit turned up to make trump look bad.

These people need socialism so bad cause they are drowning in financial crises but they have 1350 dollars to literally piss away on political campaigns...least when I donated to Trump I got a hat!

Hard to do the gentrification of both towns with transplants from California and Chicago is rampant....may be running further east in a few years. Mid-TN is sadly the new Atlanta.

Mt. Juliet and Lebanon will take care of ourselves. I don't want any help from Nashville.

Just like SARS...I remember that being doomsday. Oh and swine flu back in like '07? It's always the next plague and everyone goes into a panic....

Well I guess we should have thedonald.win get a PO Box and all mail in money... I mean technically we could but that's not an easy thing to go back to when other platforms get to use easy card transactions.

Interesting that the main page is throwing me an SSL error but not this comment thread? Might be old links on it??

True I'd like the same but I going to give them time on that. Probably a shit show right now....downtime suck ass :) specially when you have a bunch of psychotic MAGA starved people screaming for memes

I look at the biggest part is the government's failure to make a digital currency. Because when cash was king - no one could stop from me from using it to give directly to someone. It was a neutral payment source. Now with the rise of online markets - the credit card was the preferred method of transaction controlled by private companies. No one uses cash anymore at all - all cards. One of the only roles the government should even have is to provide a standard currency and they refused - because they like a few giant private companies controlling it instead so they dont have to be neutral in enforcement of things that aren't illegal....yet....

Technically if they post it the lefties could start spamming that new host with fake trash and get us taken down from there. Might explain why no one wants to say anything?

2
VoltaireCentipede 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's more the payment processor part that really gets me. People try to make platforms to compete but eventually lefties hit them in the bank. But if you want to get around that the only one I know of is newproject2. And that has had to fight banks big time.

That would be whoever is hosting the servers this site runs on. The actual computer hardware somewhere in a data center they are paying x dollars a month for compute power/storage/bandwidth.

Yeah lurking in there I was shocked at the amount of people not in the US offering to help and phone bank....never happy to just ruin their own country I guess?

Agree fully. That was always the justification I heard for why they didn't ban the donald - they didn't want us to descend on the rest of the site. We need to make sure that happens now and have it be worse than letting us have our own fun place.

I think it was everyone coming in for the rally. I know that I never used to post on reddit but I would come in for the MAGAthread to read comments while listening to the Don speak in realtime.

The key takeaway for me is there are more US flags on this stage than there have been at the democratic debate stages...

I had a friend killed there in 2009 and I went there in 2012 and it still blows my mind we are STILL there! I just realized it's been 8 years since I was there and we were supposed to be leaving then!

There was no point to it all - it felt like being a police officer in a corrupt Democrat city. No way to fix any of the actual problems but you still get sent out on the streets to try to do something anyway....and I would rather use spend resources and talent on fixing our own cities then on the other side of the world for a bunch of ungrateful people that benefits my family and community in no way.

Not only do they think the farming is easy - so is the distribution. That's why famines seem to happen everytime in Marxist governments. Socialists spend so much time in universities they are experts in all areas - farming / transportation / distribution - just give the smart people all the control and we will have a utopia!

So nice to hear a president say this after the last 25 years of being told we need to sacrifice for everyone else with no benefits in return. The only thing the rest of the world ever did was say "You're still not doing enough."
