Just remember: Michael Flynn was an Obama appointee as well.

Excellence can rise to the top even in a corrupt administration.

Not saying one way or the other here, but could be possible.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I appreciate that. I wasn’t always faithful. Most of my life was ambivalent and I spent a few years as an angry atheist due to my inability to answer the question of the problem of evil. I can now answer that question if you’re interested in talking about that.

I don’t think you should believe anything you can’t reason. And reasoning is a complicated, personal journey to your own core that is very difficult.

My own personal search for objective truth (which sounds ridiculous when talking about a seemingly unlikely supernatural reality which by its nature is literally super natural, i.e. beyond sensed reality) is very difficult to convey to someone who is either disinclined to believe or not interested in the topic. I jump at the chance to have discourse with really anyone because I find the matter to be one of profound importance, and I truly enjoy attempting to articulate that which I believe to be true without any scientific evidence.

The problem with objective truth, for instance, is to me obviously rooted in the problem of the subjective nature of experience, and since subjective experience is the only way to gain knowledge, it follows that knowledge is therefore necessarily subjective, especially knowledge that is limited in terms of how many people have it. The more people know something, the more objective it can be said to be; however, this presents a conundrum in that falsehood is believed to be true by large groups of people, and that is maintained by either side of any opposing argument.

I do truly believe that. I care about politics because things like abortion and democrat policies literally hide the truth from the unsaved.

You don’t understand how it works; don’t tell me what you think you know I must believe.
